About Me

My photo
My life is my life and I will not trade it for anything except Christ, even saying that I still ask for strength on a daily basis to live by it. Life itself is a roller coaster with fluctuating emotions such as pain, agony, victory, defeat, so on and so forth. However, I believe it is the uncertain situations in life that shape us into the individuals we are today and are to become. Basically, what I am trying to say is, your past can shape and influence the future in a major way. My real name in translation means “Born in Wealth.” I was born in Lagos, Nigeria in the year of the Dragon and as far as I can remember, it’s been a bumpy ride. Growing up in Nigeria was intense and a bit tedious, for lack of better words. It is a “No padi for jungle” time zone, with the motto of “Shine your eye,” which pretty much adds up to "every man for himself." It is a place where everyone wants to go to heaven, however, no one wants to die to get there. Growing up as a child, I learned a lot through folktales and such. I remember sitting by the burning firewood at night listening to my grandmother's stories of enlightenment. These stories had morals that shaped my thinking and mentality today.

THE HELPER

1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know." 5 Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 7 "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him." 8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us." 9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. 12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. 15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. 19 "A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."

TRIALS

What trials are you facing in life right now?
Maybe it’s a financial challenge. Or maybe you have stuff going on in your marriage or at work. Perhaps you’re grappling with emotional issues… or some familiar sin… or an issue of illness… or maybe something’s going on with your kids or grandkids.
Whatever stress or challenge you’re facing today, I want to know that ….

·         Everything has a purpose for good for those that love the Lord, better yet

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
It all starts with Romans 12:2, which says,
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
The first step in dealing with the challenges you may be facing is not to be conformed to this world.
The word conformed literally means to be squeezed into a mold. And that’s the problem with many Christians today. They have allowed their thinking about trials in their business, their ministry, and their personal lives to be conformed to the way this world thinks. They’ve been contained. They’ve been squeezed into a mold.
The result is they’ve never lived that large, expansive, broad, expressive life that God wants them to live.

#1

Deuteronomy 13

"If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods'--which you have not known--'and let us serve them,' 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul

      ·         Trials come to test the strength of our faith

·         we grow from faith to faith so therefore The stronger my faith the more useful I am to God

All of creation

From Mammoth Mountain with the most snowfall in the world
To the Amazon with rainfall like unending love
And don’t forget the Iroko tree in Nigeria that towers above
From the countryside to the exquisite cities abroad
Even the beautiful Salto Ángel waterfall knows you are God

Imagining the savage, blistering cold in Vostok
And the Lut Desert with heat temperatures untold
From the shattering wind gusts in Australia so bold
To the devastating humidity that Bangkok unfolds
I will search for your special hold
Regardless of the rugged terrain or treacherous roads

The world is in your hand and your presence is everywhere
I can search the entire universe, to you nothing compares
You took only six days and even had time to rest
The psalmist said it best; all of creation speaks of your greatness …

Myself

Myself

Can I? Should I? Would I?
Whole-heartedly serve God, Do I?
A question I ask myself
I will never tell another lie
Wow, that’s another lie to myself
Self-gratification, High five to myself
All things must become new
So I said bye to myself
They told me about Jesus
Consequently I seek for myself
My testimony is something I cannot keep to myself
Meditating on his Word
It preached to myself
Pleasing God by my faith
I have to believe for myself
Jesus died for our sins to save the world and myself
Can I? Should I? Would I?
Whole-heartedly serve God, Do I?
A question I ask myself

Stewardship

Give an account of thy stewardship.

Who is a steward?

A Steward is one who is employed to transact the business of another, as his agent or representative in the business in which he is employed.

Ø  His duty is, to promote, in the best possible manner, the interest of his employer. He is liable at any time to be called to an account for the manner in which he has transacted his business, and to be removed from his office at the pleasure of his employer.

Ø  God treats us as such, and removes us at his pleasure and disposes of the property in our hands, which he would not do did he not consider us merely his agents, and not the owners of the property.

1 Chronicles 29:14 But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you have already given us!

Ø  A steward cannot be idle

Ø  A man that is idle, is dishonest; forgets his responsibility, refuses to serve God, and gives himself up to the temptations of the devil. Basically, the idle man tempts the devil to tempt him. Idleness is a snare or trap to the soul.

Ø  All men/women were created to be God's stewards for kingdom business

GOD IS LOVE

Love brings unity
Love is kind
Love can attract
Love makes one shine
Love yourself …
Love the Church body
Love the Holy Word
Love to meditate & study
Love conquers all
In whatever hatred brings
Love stands out
In every little thing
Love endures long suffering
It might be hard
Ask & receive
Trust in the Lord
God is love
Love is sacrifice
For he so loved the world
He gave his only son Jesus Christ
Don’t give up on love
When it seems it’s lost
With God there is hope
Because he paid the cost
Love is forgiveness
He forgives your sins
Hear the knocking on the door
Let Jesus Christ come in
Love should be unconditional
That is the honest truth
Love is love
Be a living proof
